Welcome to MSWA Mid Staffs Woodturners Association website. We hope you enjoy the experience and the site will keep developing over the coming days and months.

Our previous website has served us well over the years and we thank those who have maintained and contributed to the smooth running of the site.

There are still quite a few pages and items to add to the site, so please revisit to see the site progress.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be held on Friday 2nd November and our demonstrator will be Robert Till.

Robert Till first became interested in woodturning as a 12 year old school boy when being taught by my favourite wood shop teacher Mr Champion. It has always been a hobby which I have thor-oughly enjoyed, and now that I am able to do it full time it has become a life-style. At the age of 49, I was lucky enough to be taught by Steve Heeley for 5 years and I still find every lesson en-lightening. He is a professional wood-turner and remains my mentor and friend. I love every aspect of this wonderful craft from hollow-forms, bowls, spindle turning to production work.

AWGB Seminar

AWGB have requested the assistance of MSWA at their October International Woodturning Seminar.

The Instant gallery and trade areas will be open to visitors free of charge but we do ask people to register on arrival. Perhaps your club would like to arrange a day trip for your members?

Details of trade exhibitors are on the AWGB Seminar website.
