A talk by....

David Wood


David Wood is a Master Thatcher from Handsacre in Staffordshire and has been thatching roofs ever since he left school to begin a seven year apprenticeship. Currently David is the chairman of The North of England & Scotland Master Thatchers Association and highly regarded amongst his peers.

 

A friend to many local woodturners and club members, a visit from David has been requested many times and now he will be finally coming to talk about his life, achievements and the wonderful craft that has been his livelihood for  decades. We are delighted to welcome him at long, long last.

£6 on the door. All visitors are more than welcome!

 

(All under 16yrs old are free … as long as accompanied by a well behaved adult!)

November Competition

Our competition this month will be for the Challenge Cup and will be a Lidded Box with Decoration


It can be Painted, Carved, Pyrography or Inlay for example.
